Nov 19, Lupon Hill rated it it was amazing I think, overall, this book deserves a five. Though the ending is controversial, I think, and I personally resent it, the Tuareg warrior, Gacel, is so masterly defined, its skills and adaptation to the harsh land he lives in so compellingly described, that through him mostly the author built a book that stuck with me through decades.
As for the ending, without spoiling it none, I can say that some will find it amazing, a twist of a master, and others will I think, overall, this book deserves a five.

I recommend it for sure. I learned many interesting things about Tuareg and related cultures. The character and plot development were very professional. I never felt any boredom. However, I give 4 stars not 5, just because from the very beginning I had more expectations. If you decide to read this book, bear It was a really enjoyable reading. If you decide to read this book, bear in my that being rational may decrease the beneficial outcomes of the book.
