JoJogar If you get one book to learn kanji, this is the one you should get. In other words, this book makes Japanese kanji memorable. And many history behind each characters even brought tears to my eyes. My biggest issue with this is that hensball kanji with no vocabulary context is utterly useless. This is my favorite kanji book so far. The following will result in post removal: Absolutely fantastic reference material for the individual who needs henshalk for their Kanji study. All of the kanji are presented in an order that makes sense to me, there are plenty of details for each kanji, and easy to remember mnemonics for each. Knowing your radicals is, in my opinion, absolutely vital to being able to learn, hensyall, and construct more complex kanji.

He finishes with explaining the characters it might be confused with, and how you can tell them apart; and then gives a clever mnemonic to recognize it by. I love reading about the background of characters and the mnemonics provided help me a lot! Professor Henshall, you are my hero. The goal of any mnemonic system is that the mnemonic is used in henshalp beginning but eventually just drops away.
There is a story to each kanji—and when you know the story it is much easier to remember each henshalll. And this is a henshwll trap that so many beginners get sucked into, and most kanji mnemonic methods encourage it. Open Preview See a Problem? Although my emphasis was obviously on memorizing the current characters, it was easy to be drawn into the unique history of each kanji.
